THINK GREEN is the theme of the 2008 Home Show at the Rhode Island Convention Center. Come to the Home Show and find out all about green home building and remodeling trends, including how to make your home more energy efficient, how to hire a contractor, and the aging-in-place phenomenon. Find out about green design and how to recycle your current furniture to make your rooms even more appealing.

And the Home Show itself is thinking green. Don't miss our eco-friendly billboard on Route 95 starting in March and we are substituting paper bags for plastic when you enter the show floor, among other things in the works!

Attracting thousands of visitors a year from Rhode Island and its neighboring communities in southern New England, The Home Show, begun in 1948 and sponsored by the Rhode Island Builders Association (RIBA) ever since, is the big chance for everyone in southeastern New England to get close to the newest fashions, technologies and all-around good ideas in home building and improvement.

Each spring at the Rhode Island Convention Center, Providence, RIBA trots out "the best and the brightest" in home building, remodeling, mortgage lending, insurance, landscaping, and everything in between -- from lighting and gutters to home furnishings and bathroom fixtures. Homeowners and renters alike can find what they're looking for, and plenty of pleasant surprises to boot.
